Sandy Wagner

Sandy Wagner, born Stefan Dietmar Wagner on November 28, 1965, in Iserlohn, Germany, is a Schlager singer, television presenter and composer. He signed his first record deal in 1989 with producer Jürgen Renfordt and won the RTL Newcomer Award "Das goldene Mikrofon" in 1990. Early singles included "Lieb mich heut Nacht", and his debut album Freiheit followed in 1997, with subsequent releases Wilde Zeiten (2002) and Nachts (2008). In 2006 he worked as composer and producer on Dariah's single "Die ganze Welt ist himmelblau". Wagner also hosted the music show Aber bitte mit Schlager on the 9Live channel in 2002. Notable collaborations include work with Tanja Sommer, Oliver Frank and Tanja Lasch, among others on the festive track "Weisse Weihnacht". More recent output has appeared on the Xtreme Sound label, including the compilation Schlager geil 2023. His blend of classic Schlager with contemporary production has earned him a broad, cross-generational following across the German-speaking world.
