Sonny Fodera

Sonny Fodera was born in 1985 in Adelaide, Australia, and is now based in London. Growing up with hip-hop beats, he discovered house music at 18 after seeing American DJ Derrick Carter perform. Since his first release in 2007, he has built a firm place in the international club scene with his groove-driven, vocal-led house sound. His releases appeared on labels including Defected, Cajual, Dirtybird and Visionquest before he founded his own imprint Solotoko, through which he further developed his style with more pop elements and catchy vocals. Among his best-known tracks is "Asking" (with MK feat. Clementine Douglas), which entered the UK Top 10 in 2023 and accumulated over 21 million streams in the UK alone. Collaborations link him to Calvin Harris, Diplo, MK, Green Velvet, Glass Animals, Sinéad Harnett and Ella Eyre. Live, Fodera is known for sold-out headline shows – including two nights at Brixton Academy and Alexandra Palace – and has performed at festivals such as Coachella, Glastonbury, EDC Las Vegas and Tomorrowland. He also holds a regular summer residency at Amnesia in Ibiza.
