Soundexile
Buenos Aires, Argentinaprogressive-house · melodic-house · electronic
Soundexile is the Argentine DJ and producer duo formed by Oliverio Sofía and Baunder – two long-time friends from Buenos Aires who joined forces after each had spent more than a decade working in the music industry. Their sound sits firmly in progressive house and melodic techno, guided by a simple philosophy: if the music has groove and moves the crowd, genre boundaries are secondary.
The duo share a close creative bond with Hernán Cattaneo, one of South America's most prominent electronic music figures. Together they have released on his acclaimed label Sudbeat – including an EP celebrating the label's 200th release – as well as on Hacienda Records, Traum, Lost & Found, Natura Sonoris, Hope Recordings, and Einmusika. Their joint remix of Nick Warren's "La Fabrica" (2013) became one of the most charted underground progressive tracks of that year, while the Renaissance compilation track "Survivor" and a 2024 remix of "Reality" on Love and Above further cemented their international reputation.
Live, Soundexile have performed at clubs and festivals across Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Spain, Belgium, the UK, Greece, Japan, Korea, and China, sharing the booth with John Digweed, Nick Warren, Guy Gerber, and Tiësto, among others. They have also appeared at the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE).
