The Martinez Brothers

The Bronx, New York, USAhouse · techno · tech-house · hip-hop
Chris and Steve Martinez – known as The Martinez Brothers – grew up in the Bronx, New York, and discovered house and techno in the early 2000s at iconic NYC clubs like The Shelter, where they caught sets from the likes of Louie Vega and Timmy Regisford. With Puerto Rican roots, they shaped their sound through Latin music, salsa, hip-hop, and the Bronx's graffiti culture. Active since 2007, they quickly established themselves on the international club circuit. Their breakthrough came with residencies at two of Ibiza's most celebrated venues: Hï Ibiza and Circoloco at DC10. Their music blends deep house and techno with Latin influences – an approach they've carried into collaborations with Louie Vega, Nile Rodgers, Tokischa, Rauw Alejandro, and Fuego. As founders of the Cuttin' Headz label – named after an Ol' Dirty Bastard track – they built a home for house and techno artists with an urban edge. Their reach extends from headline slots at Coachella, Time Warp, and Ultra Music Festival to fashion collaborations with Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, and Fendi. The Martinez Brothers are regulars on the DJ Mag Top 100 list and rank among the most influential DJ duos of their generation.
