Tony Effe, real name Nicolò Rapisarda, was born on 17 May 1991 in Rome and grew up in the historic Rione Monti neighbourhood. Before turning to music, he worked as a child actor, appearing in the film *Viaggi di Nozze* (1995). His music career began in 2014 as a member of the trap collective Dark Polo Gang, with whom he released the debut mixtape *Full Metal Dark* (2015), cementing his place in the Italian hip-hop scene. In 2021, his first solo album *Untouchable* – released via Universal Music Group – debuted at number 1 on the Italian FIMI album chart, featuring guest appearances from Gucci Mane, Gué Pequeno, Tedua and Lazza. He followed it up with *ICON* in 2024, the best-selling album of the year in Italy. Stand-out releases include the summer smash *Sesso e Samba* with Gaia and *Michelle Pfeiffer* with Rose Villain. In February 2025, he made his debut on the prestigious Sanremo Festival stage with the song *Damme 'na mano*. His catalogue boasts over 1.5 billion streams and 37 platinum and 11 gold certifications.
