Tony Junior

Tony Junior – real name Tony Claessens, born 21 October 1989 in Utrecht – is one of the Netherlands' most prominent DJs and producers in the electro house, big room house and progressive house scene. He comes from a musical family: his father, Toni Peroni, was the drummer of Dutch band Het Goede Doel, and his mother, Linda Dubbeldeman, is an actress and model. Tony started playing drums at the age of ten and launched his career as a drummer in a rock band. After the band split up, he transitioned fully into electronic music. His breakthrough came in 2010 with "Loesje" (feat. Nicolas Nox), an EDM rework of a classic Dutch song released on Rodeo Media. This was followed by releases on Spinnin' Records, Doorn Records and Musical Freedom. His best-known collaborations include "Immortal (We Live Forever)" with DVBBS (2014), "Get Down" with Tiësto (2016) and "Lightning Strikes" with Steve Aoki and Nervo. He has also worked with Borgeous and Marnik. On the international stage, he performed at festivals such as Tomorrowland in Belgium (2014). He now performs under the artist name Claessens and remains one of the defining figures of the Dutch dance scene.
