Trio Tríptic

Trio Tríptic is a Scottish ensemble comprising Greg Lawson (fiddle and mandolin), Phil Alexander (piano and accordion), and Mario Caribé (guitar and bass) – all three former members of the Glasgow-based fusion band Moishe's Bagel. When Moishe's Bagel played its final concert in 2022, the Edinburgh-based Soundhouse project brought the musicians back together. They debuted under the working name "The Band with No Name" at the Edinburgh Festival in 2023 before adopting the name Tríptic. Their sound weaves dramatic tango, joyful klezmer, global folk, jazz grooves and Latin influences into a tightly crafted, rhythmically vibrant whole. All three are award-winning musicians deeply rooted in Glasgow's world music scene, and collaborative songwriting is at the heart of the group's artistic vision. Tríptic has performed at the Edinburgh International Festival, and their debut album was released in 2025.
