Tripolism

Copenhagen, Denmarkelectronic · melodic-house · house · disco
Tripolism is a Danish trio from Copenhagen, comprising producers and vocalists Bryn (Brynjar Bjarnfoss), Fred (Frederik Tangaa Thorngaard), and Ras (Rasmus Rask Vendelbjerg). Active since 2021, they weave together melodic house, disco influences, and techno with distinctive vocals and hypnotic basslines – a sound frequently described as carrying an understated Copenhagen cool. The trio broke through internationally in August 2023 with "Dope Dance" on Ultra Records: Pete Tong named it his Essential New Tune and placed it in his Top 5 tracks of the year on BBC Radio 1. Their debut album "Absolute Dope" followed in 2024 on Ultra Records, as did the collaboration "Whatever We Call It" with Meera – another Essential New Tune on BBC Radio 1. In 2025 they accelerated further: the single "Nuraan" with Danish producer Nandu drew on Middle Eastern influences; their remix of The Shapeshifters' "Lola's Theme" via Defected/Glitterbox reached number one on Beatport; and "Flying Away with You" with Danish band WhoMadeWho was released on Cercle Records. April 2025 marked their US debut at Coachella. Tripolism have also performed at DC-10's Circoloco, Pacha's Saga series, and Tomorrowland.
