Vegedream – real name Satchela Evrard Djedje – was born on 25 August 1992 in Orléans and has Ivorian roots from the city of Gagnoa. He launched his career with the group La Synesia before going solo. His sound is a dense blend of hip-hop, R&B, and Afro-pop, frequently enriched with Auto-Tune and an unmistakable urban groove.
His big breakthrough came with "Ramenez la coupe à la maison" (2018), which served as the unofficial anthem of the French national football team at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and topped the SNEP Singles Chart in France. His debut album *Marchand de sable* was released in June 2018 via Casablanca/Universal Music France, reaching number 5 on the French album charts and earning double platinum certification. The follow-up *Ategban* (2019, Island Def Jam/Universal Music France) peaked at number 9 and went platinum. A third album, *La Boîte de Pandore* (2022), also landed in the top 10. Collaborations with Ninho, Tayc, Naza, and Joé Dwet Filé cement his standing in the Francophone urban scene. Signed to Universal Music France, he has performed to sold-out crowds at the Zénith in Paris.
