Veysel Gelin, born on January 3, 1984, in Essen, is a German rapper and actor of Zaza-Kurdish descent. He made his debut in 2010 with "Lieben & Hassen" and quickly established himself in the German street rap scene with his characteristically blunt delivery over lean, dramatic productions — shaped in part by his early admiration for 2Pac. His first full-length projects, the mixtape "43 Therapie" (2013) and the album "Audiovisuell" (2014), were released through Haftbefehl's Azzlack label. In 2017 he founded his own imprint, Bela Boyz, and followed up with singles like "Bargeld," "Kleiner Cabrón," and "Yakuza" (featuring Luciano), as well as the albums "Hitman" (2017), "Fuego" (2018), and "Hitman 2" (2021). Beyond music, Veysel gained widespread acclaim for his acting role in the award-winning TNT series "4 Blocks," drawing coverage from major outlets such as the FAZ, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and Die Zeit. His latest release is the "Full Clip EP" (2025).
