Voxxclub

VoXXclub is a five-piece Neue Volksmusik band from Munich, founded in 2012 by Florian Claus, Stefan Raaflaub, Korbinian Arendt, Christian Schild, and Michael Hartinger. Three members first met in 2010 while performing in the Broadway musical "Singin' in the Rain," and the band itself was born in a Munich student flat. Their sound blends traditional Bavarian folk and Alpine music with modern pop and rock: accordion and guitar meet electronic beats and close-harmony vocals. Their breakthrough came in 2013 with a viral flash mob at the Riem Arkaden shopping centre in Munich, driven by their signature track "Rock Mi," which became a hit far beyond the Bavarian scene. Albums including "Alpin" (2013), "Ziwui" (2014), "Geiles Himmelblau" (2016), "Donnawedda" (2017), and the 2019 Oktoberfest anthem "Anneliese" proved they were no one-hit wonder. Signed to Electrola (Universal Music), they received three Echo nominations in the Folk Music category. Collaborations with DJ Ötzi, Markus Becker, Buddy, and Paveier, plus appearances across the Schlager and Ballermann circuit, round out their career. In 2018 they competed in Germany's national Eurovision Song Contest selection.
