Wade – born Juan Carlos Cruz Lopez – grew up in rural southern Spain surrounded by flamenco music, an influence that continues to shape his productions. He discovered rave culture in 2009 and started making his own music the following year. His breakthrough came as part of the Solid Grooves set-up, which brought him to the attention of the global dance music community.
His tech-house sound is defined by driving basslines and a hip-hop sensibility, with subtle nods to his Spanish roots. His track "Mi Amor," a collaboration with UK tech-house heavyweights Solardo, features a distinctive Spanish horn sample. Further collaborations with Cloonee and Jay Lumen have cemented his reputation as a sought-after producer.
