BRAHMS SCHUMANN PIANO QUARTET SON VIDA CLÀSSICS

BRAHMS SCHUMANN PIANO QUARTET SON VIDA CLÀSSICS

Brahms · Schumann Two essential works from the Romantic repertoire. Two composers united by one of the most decisive relationships in music history. Robert Schumann’s Piano Quartet in E flat major, Op. 47 and Johannes Brahms’s Piano Quartet in A major, Op. 25 share the spotlight in this concert, which brings together two complementary ways of understanding chamber music. Written at an especially fruitful moment for both composers, these works combine lyricism, expressive depth and an extraordinary richness of dialogue among the four instruments. The concert culminates in the celebrated Rondo alla Zingarese, one of the most dazzling and virtuosic finales in the entire chamber-music repertoire. The performance is by the violinist Miclen LaiPang, based in Paris and with an international career that has taken him to perform in some of the world’s leading concert halls, alongside Clara Mascaró, Marc Alomar and Llorenç Prats, three musicians with a notable presence in the Balearic music scene. This concert opens Son Vida Clàssics, a new series promoted by Illa Músics in collaboration with Castillo Hotel Son Vida, dedicated to chamber music and major repertories in an outstanding setting. Optionally, the evening can be completed with a five-course tasting menu at the Es Balcó restaurant, an offering designed to extend the experience beyond the concert.
