Lecture series: "One month, one work"

How can art offer a way of looking at violence against women? Lucia Mestre addresses this subject in a lecture at Espai 36 in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. Titled “Violència contra la dona, una mirada a través de l'art” — “Violence against women: a perspective through art” — the talk forms part of the “Un mes, una obra” series, meaning “One month, one work”. On 11 November 2026 at 7 pm, you can explore an approach to art that goes beyond aesthetics. Art can bring social realities into view and encourage us to question familiar representations. This lecture brings that perspective to a sensitive social issue: violence against women. A cultural date for you if looking at art also means reflecting on the society around it.
