Raor Fishing Competition

On 1 September, Banyalbufar hosts a Raor fishing competition. Raor, also known in Spanish as pez de galera, is a prized Mediterranean fish and gives this sporting event a distinctly local character. The departure is scheduled for 7 am. For anyone interested in traditional fishing practices and Mallorca’s connection with the sea, the competition is an authentic opportunity to experience Banyalbufar early in the morning.
