Lecture The Inquisition in Mallorca in the 17th century. Renegades and xuetes

A historical subject with a direct connection to the island: on 22 October 2026, Felanitx hosts the lecture “The Inquisition on Mallorca in the 17th Century. Renegades and Xuetes”, presented by Onofre Vaquer i Bennàssar. If you enjoy getting to know Mallorca through its history, this cultural event offers a specific starting point. The title places the Inquisition alongside two explicitly named groups: renegades and Xuetes. A history lecture is an opportunity to consider a different era and question familiar impressions of a place. Here, your attention turns to Mallorca in the 17th century.
