Bilal Wahib

Bilal Wahib – full name Bilal El Mehdi Wahib, born 20 January 1999 in Amsterdam – is one of the most versatile Dutch entertainers: rapper, singer, and award-winning actor all in one. He started out as an extra in the youth series SpangaS before his recurring role as Moshin in the hit Videoland series Mocro Maffia (three seasons) brought him wide recognition. In 2020 he won the Golden Calf for Best Supporting Actor for Paradise Drifters and was selected as a European Shooting Star at the 70th Berlinale. Alongside his acting career he built a serious music profile: debut single "Vliegen" dropped in 2019, followed by "Video Vixen" (with Bizzey, Gold certified) and breakthrough hit "Tigers", which entered the charts at number one the day after release. The collab "501" with Ronnie Flex also topped the Dutch Single Top 100 and became a TikTok phenomenon. His debut album El Mehdi went double platinum. Further charting singles like "Ibiza" (no. 2) and collaborations with Frenna, Boef, and $hirak have cemented his place in Dutch hip-hop. He is signed to label TopNotch. His raw energy and authenticity across both acting and rap make him one of the most compelling live acts to come out of the Netherlands.
