Bunyola takes on a festive mood on 11 September with a sweet-throwing and bell-ringing celebration featuring the giant figures na Bàrbara and en Mateu. Part of the town’s local festivities, the event brings together two vivid expressions of Mallorcan celebration: the sound of ringing bells and the cheerful tradition of throwing sweets. It is a lovely opportunity to experience Bunyola in a lively, communal atmosphere.
