Escena 101 is the address in Palma for improvisational theatre. The stage features in-house formats from the venue as well as productions by Impro Camaleónicos and other groups: from improv shows such as „Kamikazes“, „Monstruas Impro“ or „TEYKAGUEY IMPRO SHOW“ to children’s improv and „improvised stories“, as well as microtheatre and occasional concerts. The programme is clearly geared toward spontaneity, playful creativity and audience experience, and thus goes far beyond classic theatre evenings. Events for companies, team events, celebrations and courses are also part of the offering.
The venue is self-organised by four companies and is therefore firmly rooted in Palma’s improv scene. Escena 101 is located at Carrer Arxiduc Lluís Salvador 101 in Palma de Mallorca and sees itself as a stage with regular weekly programming; there are performances on many weekends. In addition, there are improv courses and offers for children and young people, such as holiday and summer courses. With this mix of performances, training and rentals for groups, Escena 101 is an active meeting point for the independent theatre and improvisation scene in Palma.
