Ricercare. Esteban Belinchón, cello.

Ricercare. Esteban Belinchón, cello.

What happens when we stop counting the years that separate one piece of music from another and simply listen? Perhaps music does not move forward, but returns. It returns to what we already know so that we can look at it differently. A suite of short pieces invites us to journey through four centuries of music, from the Baroque world to contemporary creation. Short pieces from different periods and styles follow one another like fragments of the same search. Time changes, the musical language changes, but the cello keeps searching. It searches for a sound, an emotion, an answer. And perhaps, in the end, we discover that listening is also a way of searching. * Concert organised by Acadèmia 1830.

Austrian-trained, Palma-based cellist specializing in contemporary chamber music.
