5th herding competition

The fifth herding competition in Consell takes place on 25 October 2026, highlighting a distinctive sporting discipline rooted in working with livestock. Herding competitions generally rely on the partnership between a handler and a herding dog, with clear signals, attentiveness and precise guidance mattering more than speed alone. If you’re interested in working animals, this type of competition offers a different perspective on dog sports. Its challenges draw on the practical work of managing a flock. It’s an opportunity to get to know Consell while exploring a discipline you may not often encounter.
