Alcúdia includes the town itself and the seaside district of Port d’Alcúdia to the south. The 7 km-long Playa Alcúdia defines this stretch of coast and is particularly popular with families. East of the centre, on Carrer de Tabarca, you will find a park with a children’s playground, around 150 metres from the main beach. At the far south-western end of Port d’Alcúdia lies Platja de Muro, which remains relatively less busy even at the height of summer.

Port d’Alcúdia lies south of the town itself, around the harbour. As the district stretches over a long distance, getting around can sometimes involve lengthy journeys. South of Playa Alcúdia, the s’Albufera wetland begins where the sea meets the land. Pollenca is around 12 km from Alcúdia. To the north lies the striking peninsula with Cap Formentor.

Numerous cycling and walking routes run through the 1700 ha s’Albufera wetland. The marina on Passeig Marítim is home to historic and futuristic-looking vessels, with almost 750 berths shaping the harbour scene. The cultural festival Fira d’Alcudia combines concerts, horse displays, craft stalls and local specialities. Port d’Alcúdia celebrates San Pedro on 29 June, while Alcúdia honours San Jaime on 25 July.

Families will find a long sandy beach at Playa Alcúdia, along with play facilities and water-based activities. If you would like to combine nature with exercise, you can use the cycling and walking routes in the s’Albufera wetland. Active holidaymakers can choose a 15 km route through pine forests, with short climbing sections. More demanding routes also lead through the Tramuntana mountains. The beach sections are ideal for relaxing days, while the harbour, water sports and events offer additional variety.
