Holiday rentals in the east

Mallorca’s east is characterised by gentle hills, valleys and a largely unspoilt Mediterranean landscape. Around Artà, you can enjoy peace and quiet, well-preserved traditions and insights into Mallorca’s cultural heritage. Along the coast, sandy beaches alternate with unspoilt coves.

Artà and Manacor are located in eastern Mallorca. At the beginning of the 20th century, a railway line ran through the hills and valleys between the towns. North of Cala Ratjada, you can reach Platja de Cala Agulla. Cala Magraner is accessible by boat, while a narrow path near a bathing cove leads to Cala Romantica.

In Artà, you will find medieval ruins, the Santuari de Sant Salvador, built in the 14th century, and an ornithological exhibition featuring native bird species and other animals. Manacor is known for its artificial pearls and traditional Suspiros. Between late May and early June, Fires i Festes de Primavera bring the town to life. The trotting track is also part of local life.

The east is a good choice if you want to combine peaceful days by the sea, hiking and local culture. Families and history enthusiasts will find vivid traces of early Mallorcan communities in Artà. Nature lovers can spot red kites and ospreys, or explore hilly landscapes and coastal paths. Away from the main tourist centres, you can enjoy a relaxed stay.
