In western Mallorca, Sóller combines a historic town centre with the harbour of Port de Sóller and the mountain scenery of the Serra de Tramuntana. Between the Mediterranean, pine forests, and orange and lemon groves, you can shape your stay around walks, train journeys and hikes: explore old lanes and shady squares, travel on the historic train or tram, and follow old trekking trails. By the harbour, Platja des Través adds time by the sea to your stay; its gently shelving beach is particularly suitable for families. Museums, a botanical garden and traces of the former coastal defences offer further places to visit. Palma is 30 kilometres from Sóller and can be reached by car in around 40 minutes.
