The scent of sea air and sizzling garlic drifts across the wide terrace, while the gaze sweeps over the entire Magaluf Bay — from here, Magaluf looks nothing like its reputation. Karibu Beach stands on the very spot where the legendary El Último Paraíso Beach Club held court for more than two decades; since its fresh incarnation, it has become one of the most compelling addresses on Calvià Beach.

Concept
No ‘see and be seen’, no VIP posturing — this is a beach club that genuinely cares about its guests. The team’s own philosophy puts it simply: ‘No matter where you come from, or the problems you bring — all of that is left outside. We think, you enjoy.’ Restaurant, pool, sunbeds, and Balinese chill-out beds flow into one another; a relaxed space for lounging and lunch by day, livelier with a shifting crowd as the afternoon turns golden.

Food & Drinks
Head chef Arcadio Pérez keeps the menu resolutely Mediterranean — but far from generic. The mixed vegetable tempura (asparagus, broccoli, courgette, spring onions, mushrooms with cheddar, seasoned with black salt) is fried with such precision you will order it twice. Alongside: smoked salmon with blueberry sauce, crispy prawns in angel-hair pasta with a gently spiced mayo, and an Ensalada Caprese with burrata, pesto, and toasted almond flakes. The real star is the Arroz de la casa — paella-style rice with large prawns that critics have called sensationally tasty, and which has long since become the venue’s defining dish. Ask your server about the daily off-menu specials; Pérez creates new variations every day — sometimes at explicit guest request.
For dessert: Tocinillo de cielo (the classic egg-yolk caramel custard) or Flan de queso, a Mallorcan cheesecake interpretation. A glass of José Pariente Verdejo makes an excellent companion — the wine list is notably curated for a beach club of this size and format.
Atmosphere
White lounge chairs under palms, sea air, golden light as evening approaches. The bay is within earshot, boats anchor out front — those arriving by water can use the tender service: pick-up or delivery directly to the vessel. If you have only known Magaluf as a party strip, this genuinely surprises: service is strikingly personal; Matías, a server singled out by name in numerous reviews, embodies the Karibu ethos almost by definition.
In summer, evening events appear regularly — the White Party and the recurring Red Party are established seasonal landmarks. For current dates, check the events section below.
Who’s It For & Occasions
Couples after a quiet sunset dinner; groups of friends looking to combine pool time with real food; families needing a stylish respite in Magaluf; sailors coming ashore from the bay. Karibu is not a nightclub — it is the place you stay longer than planned.
Insider Tip
Arrive by tender for dinner: those anchored in the bay can head straight for the terrace — the team will pick you up or deliver food to the boat. And: always ask about the off-menu daily specials. Chef Pérez has been known to demonstrate techniques like encasing cheese inside tempura batter — the kind of thing you would more readily expect in a city restaurant than a beach club in Magaluf.
