Holiday Rentals on the northeast coast of Mallorca
The northeastern coast of Mallorca welcomes you with a contrast of lively seaside resorts and remote inland villages. Among the attractions in this region is the wide ramified cave system of the Cuevas de Artá.
Cala Ratjada and Cala Millor tend to dominate the self-catering accommodation market on the north east coast. You can choose between a villa by the sea, a stone country house in the interior of the island or even spacious apartments in the middle of a village. Parts of Cala Ratjada are hugely popular with clubbers and drinkers, with clubs and discos opening after dark and staying open until very late. Cala Millor has a kilometre-long sandy beach which is perfect for swimming, while the neighbouring village of Cala Bona boasts a beautiful small bay.
The town of Artá is quiet and relaxed. The principal attraction of the town is the Cuevas de Artá caves, which you can visit as part of a guided tour. The small heavenly seaside village of Colònia de Sant Pere is located in the southern part of the bay of Alcúdia. Parasols and sunbeds are available for rent on the beach which is about 80 m long. Picking a holiday apartment near the beach is ideal for a relaxing break far from the madding crowd. You should reckon on about an hour by car to these north eastern resorts from the airport.
