Description

Finca Son Real is a historic country estate and nature reserve on Mallorca's north-east coast, tucked between Can Picafort and Son Serra de Marina.

Possessió, Museum and Archaeology

This sprawling estate — known locally as a Possessió — is free to explore. An interpretation centre brings to life the story of how people lived on Mallorcan country estates through the ages, as well as the broader history of human settlement on the site. The archaeological highlight is a Talayotic necropolis right on the shoreline, easily reached on foot.

Walking Trails, Nature and Beach

Waymarked trails wind through the nature reserve, taking you across woodland, meadows, dunes and stretches of coastline all the way to the sea — roughly two kilometres from the entrance. Bicycles are available to hire on site if you'd rather explore by bike. The estate is also home to sheep, pigs, geese, ducks and other animals that roam freely and can be visited.

Location and Getting There

The finca sits along the Ma-12 road (07459, Illes Balears). A car park is available on site, though a charge applies. Dogs are welcome on the estate but must be kept on a lead at all times.
