Description

Forn Ca'n Segura is a traditional bakery and pastry shop in Muro with a family history stretching back to 1870, crafting Mallorcan bakes using artisan recipes passed down through the generations.

Craft baking since 1870

Forn Ca'n Segura is one of Muro's oldest bakeries, now run in its fourth generation by Joan Tugores Segura. The recipes are traditional, the ingredients are fresh, and every loaf and pastry that leaves the oven is a genuinely handcrafted product.

Straight from the oven

Mallorcan specialities are at the heart of everything here. The ensaimadas are widely regarded as among the finest on the island, and the cremadillos — caramelised puff-pastry pockets filled with cream — consistently stand out as a highlight. The robiols have also earned a reputation of their own, baked here with butter rather than lard. Rounding out the selection are croissants (including chocolate-filled), cocas, doblegats, Mallorcan bread, cakes, and cream gateaux. The coffee, too, is well worth a stop.

On the Plaça dels Abeuradors

The bakery sits at number 6 on the Plaça dels Abeuradors, right in the centre of Muro. A playground just off the square makes it a particularly handy spot for families with children, and cyclists regularly use Forn Ca'n Segura as a welcome break on their rides through the area. The family also runs a second location in Palma.
