At the heart of Forn de Barri is homemade sourdough bread — including a walnut and raisin loaf, seeded bread, and focaccia. The croissants, available with almonds, chocolate, white chocolate, or hazelnut cream, are among the most celebrated things on offer. You'll also find cinnamon rolls, cheesecake, lemon meringue tart, napolitanas, and banana cake. Add to that a selection of sandwiches and coffee — from cappuccino to café au lait — which consistently hits the mark. Everything is made on the premises.

Seating is outside — on a small terrace with tables and benches. Fornalutx itself is one of the most strikingly beautiful villages on the island, and this café fits right in: relaxed, authentic, and refreshingly unfussy.

Forn de Barri is located at Carrer Arbona-Colom 6 in Fornalutx. If you're coming from Puig Major or heading towards Sóller, you'll pass right through the village — well worth a quick stop. The bakery's bread is also stocked at the supermarket in Deià, and there's a second branch in Sóller.
