Art Between the Everyday and the Imagined

Manuella Andrada Holló started painting at around the age of three and was already winning prizes for her work at primary school. She went on to attend a secondary school specialising in the visual arts, studied graphic design alongside other techniques, and completed her degree at the University of Pécs in Hungary. Her current body of work, the Porcelain Dreams Series, draws its inspiration directly from Deià — from cafés, galleries, quiet courtyards and the unremarkable places that bring people together regardless of background or status. The series asks what becomes visible in those small, shared moments where the everyday and the imagined quietly meet.

Rooted in Deià

Manuella Holló has called Deià home since 2014. In this village at the heart of the UNESCO-listed Tramuntana mountains, she discovered an artistic community she found particularly welcoming — one that continues to shape the world of her Porcelain Dreams Series to this day. Her work is represented in, among other places, the Deia Artists' Gallery.
