Description
Kant Restaurant – Bar – Heladeria in Portocolom brings together Western cuisine, a bar, and a dedicated ice cream counter all under one roof.
Cuisine & Specialities
The menu sits comfortably between German classics and Mediterranean influences. Homemade currywurst with its own scratch-made sauce is a firm favourite, as is the pan-fried Wiener Schnitzel. Ibérico pork cheeks in sauce represent the Mallorcan side of the menu and are wonderfully tender. Pasta dishes such as tagliatelle Bolognese and lasagne are prepared fresh. A charcuterie board can also be arranged on request, and homemade tiramisu makes for a fitting sweet finish, with the house-made dips accompanying the bread throughout. A three-course set menu is available, and there are plenty of vegetarian choices too.
The Heladeria: Ice Cream by Iceberg
The ice cream deserves a chapter of its own. Kant sources its frozen creations from Iceberg, a renowned ice cream maker based in Palma — exclusively in Portocolom, according to the house. There is a wide selection of flavours, and the ice cream is available to take away.
Wine & Bar
The drinks list is well worth exploring: the wine — the white wine in particular — is regularly singled out as one of the highlights of an evening here.
Atmosphere & Ambience
Kant is equally well suited to families and larger groups. Alongside the indoor dining room there is a terrace to enjoy. The atmosphere is laid-back and convivial, and the team is happy to accommodate special requests, including those from vegetarians.
Location in Portocolom
The restaurant is located at Carrer de Cala Marçal 15 in Portocolom, close to Cala Marçal. The establishment is owned and run by Thomas Krüger.
