Description

La Granja is a 17th-century manor house in Esporles, set up as a museum dedicated to the cultural history of Mallorca.

Manor House and Museum Estate

This historic estate brings to life what rural Mallorca once looked like: authentically furnished rooms, traditional craft tools and implements, and exhibits exploring the agricultural way of life of past centuries. Craftspeople demonstrate their trades in person. The grounds also include stabling and a signposted circular trail with numbered stops — a guide booklet is handed out at the entrance.

Gardens, Water Features and Grounds

The estate boasts expansive outdoor grounds, a waterfall, and natural springs that shape the character of the surrounding landscape. Situated within the Serra de Tramuntana, the setting has a distinctive charm all of its own.

Tastings and Dining

In the courtyard you can sample wine and local specialities. There is also a restaurant on site.

Location and Getting There

La Granja is located on the Carretera at Km 1.5 in Esporles (07190), in the western part of the island. Accessible parking spaces are available on the grounds.

A Note on Current Status

There are indications that the estate has been sold and that a conversion into a luxury hotel is planned. Parts of the exhibition have already been cleared out. If you'd like to experience La Granja as a museum, it's worth checking the current operational status before your visit.
