Description

Olleria Can Bernadí in Pòrtol is a traditional pottery workshop documented as far back as 1806, and recognised as an emblematic trade business by the IDI (Institut for Business Innovation of the Balearic Islands).

Craft with a History

Can Bernadí started with what was needed most at the time: greixoneres and plates for the kitchen and larder. Over the years the range expanded to include garden decoration and home accessories, and today it also covers lighting, bathroom and kitchen items, as well as personalised gifts. Elionor Amengual, the current owner, carries on the family tradition — the workshop has been a familiar name for well over two decades, first under Bernadí and now under his daughter Elionor.

Hand-Painted Ceramics & Bespoke Commissions

A real strength of the workshop is its hand-crafted, hand-painted pieces and its willingness to take on bespoke commissions. If you're after something truly individual, you can order objects made to measure — including personalised clocks or figures that sit outside the standard range. The workshop is also happy to tackle special requests when customers can't find what they're looking for elsewhere. The team is equally on hand to offer advice on caring for and repairing earthenware pieces.

Finding the Workshop

The olleria is located at Carrer de Cals Ollers 5 in Pòrtol, the district of Marratxí renowned for its pottery tradition. Orders can also be placed by phone.
