Platja de Cala Ferrera is a sheltered bathing cove on the eastern coast of Mallorca, close to Cala d'Or.

The Cove

Cala Ferrera sits within the municipality of Felanitx, just east of Cala d'Or. The cove is small and enjoys a calm, wind-protected setting. The water is shallow and slopes gently — a fine sandy seabed keeps the waves small and makes swimming straightforward. Clear, transparent water and a clean beach are the enduring hallmarks of this cala.

Facilities & Services

Sun loungers and parasols are available to hire on the beach; a member of staff comes directly to your spot to take payment. A portion of the loungers is reserved for hotel guests. Cafés and restaurants sit right on the beachfront, and there's a beach bar serving drinks. Toilets are available on site, and showers can be found at the beach entrance.

Location & Getting There

The cove belongs to the municipality of Felanitx and lies to the east of Cala d'Or (municipality of Santanyí). A small car park is nearby, with steps leading down to the beach from there. Arriving early gives you the best chance of securing a spot.

The shallow, calm water and gentle entry make Cala Ferrera particularly well suited to families with young children. Snorkellers will also find it worthwhile: beneath the surface you can spot fish, seagrass, and other marine life.
