Platja de Muro Sector 2
Description
Platja de Muro Sector 2 is a stretch of beach in the north-east of Mallorca, forming part of Sectors 1 and 2 of Playa de Muro — a sweeping sandy beach that extends for around seven kilometres.
Sea & Sand
The water at Sector 2 is remarkably clear, maintaining excellent visibility even at greater depths. The beach itself is clean and easy to walk along. Velella jellyfish can occasionally wash ashore depending on the time of year, which may cause a mild odour. Lifeguards are on duty, and international safety signs mark the designated swimming areas.
Jetties & Facilities
The most distinctive feature of this stretch is the jetties that extend out into the sea, serving as entry and exit points for swimmers. Sun loungers and parasols are available to hire, though spots fill up quickly — particularly during the height of summer. Food and drink options directly on the beach are limited.
Getting There
Access to Sector 2 is via Carrer Joglars 3 in Muro. Nearby parking can get tight during the busiest months, so arriving early is well worth it.
Off-Peak
Outside the main summer season, the beach takes on a noticeably different character — quieter, more relaxed, and far less crowded, making for a lovely contrast to the lively summer months.
