Description

Platja de Ses Roquetes is an unspoilt sandy beach in the south of Mallorca, close to Colònia de Sant Jordi.

Beach & Nature

Fine white sand, crystal-clear turquoise water and a completely untouched setting define this beautiful stretch of coast. Nudism is common at the far end of the beach. There are no kiosks, beach bars or any other facilities — no toilets and no bins. The beach offers no shade whatsoever, so bringing a parasol and plenty of water is strongly recommended. Posidonia seagrass may wash up on the shore and appear in the water depending on the time of year.

Getting There & Surroundings

The beach can only be reached on foot or by boat. A footpath leads here from the harbour at Colònia de Sant Jordi; the walk takes roughly 20 to 60 minutes depending on your starting point and pace. Access by car is not possible — the surrounding tracks are partly blocked by private land or nature reserve restrictions. The path itself runs along the edge of a protected natural area.

Sunsets & Peaceful Hours

The beach has a wonderfully calm, uncrowded feel, which is especially noticeable in the afternoon when the water is at its clearest. The sunsets here are particularly special and well worth staying for.
