Playa Es Moll
Description
Playa Es Moll is a sheltered cove on the island of Cabrera — a national park off the southern coast of Mallorca — and serves as the natural hub for sailors and nature lovers alike.
The Cove & the Water
The bay impresses with turquoise, crystal-clear water and offers excellent conditions for swimming and snorkelling. The generous cove is largely sheltered — except in northerly winds — and is considered a safe anchorage.
Exploring the Island
Cabrera is a lovely island for short walks. A path leads from the harbour up to the castle, which you can climb for sweeping views. Guided tours run by the park administration are available; you can book by phone or in person at Playa Es Moll. The path to the lighthouse is partly restricted beyond a barrier. Sandy beaches and pine forests define the natural character of the island.
Sa Cantina — Refreshments in the National Park
Down at the harbour you'll find a small tavern called Sa Cantina. It serves bocadillos, muffins, coffee and tea, a selection of cold and warm tapas, as well as drinks and ice cream. It's the only place to eat or drink on the entire island.
Getting There
Playa Es Moll is located on the island of Cabrera, which falls administratively within the municipality of Algaida. The cove is the central mooring and starting point on the island and is reachable by boat only.
