Description
The Repsol petrol station in Escorca is a rest stop with a bistro tucked into the Tramuntana mountains — and a well-known starting point for the hike up to Puig de Massanella.
A rest stop in the mountains
Cyclists and walkers pull in here just as readily as drivers passing through. The bistro serves coffee and espresso, cakes, croissants, napolitana pastries, bocadillos and energy bars. It's also a great spot to top up your water supplies after a long climb, with plenty of seating available both inside and out.
Cyclist-friendly facilities
The station is well set up for cyclists: you'll find bike racks, tools, e-bike charging points and a covered outdoor area to rest up. The shop also stocks energy bars and gels.
Fuelling up: how it works
The main cashier area is closed; all fuel payments are handled through the bistro. Simply let staff know which pump you'd like, they'll activate it, and you pay afterwards in the bistro — by card or cash at the machine. Diesel and two grades of petrol are available.
Location
The station sits at Diseminado Diseminados Var, 1, in the municipality of Escorca, right in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana. The trail up to Puig de Massanella begins here.
