Description
Restaurant de Canet in Esporles is a family-run Mallorcan restaurant on the Carretera Palma–Valldemossa that has been serving traditional island cuisine made from fresh daily ingredients since 1997.
Homemade Mallorcan cooking with heart
Since 1997, Tolo and Polo have run Restaurant de Canet as a family affair — with the firm intention of cooking for their guests the way people used to eat at home. The kitchen relies on fresh produce bought daily, and the original décor has been kept intact to preserve that feeling of a proper, hearty home-cooked meal. The menu is rooted in classic Mallorcan cuisine: Arròs brut — a rich, deeply savoury island rice dish — is the house speciality and regularly draws enthusiastic praise. Snails, suckling pig (lechona), shoulder of lamb, and meat dishes in general are also at the heart of the menu, with portions that are generously sized.
