Description

Ses Olles de Son Granada de Baix is a wild, rocky cove near Llucmajor in the south of Mallorca — known for its turquoise water, natural rock formations and a quiet, largely undiscovered atmosphere.

Water, Rock and Snorkelling

The crystal-clear turquoise water and striking rock formations make this spot a firm favourite with snorkellers: fish are clearly visible near the rocks, and the natural stone platforms along the shore are perfect for simply sitting and soaking it all in. There is no sandy beach — the ground is entirely rocky, with natural pools and flat platforms right at the water's edge. The cove is particularly magical at sunset.

Getting There

The cove lies within the municipality of Llucmajor and cannot be reached directly from the roadside. The path down to the water crosses stony, dusty ground and involves some scrambling in places; sturdy footwear is strongly recommended, and flip-flops are simply not suitable. Driving directly to the cove brings you into a residential area — access is via the Mirador de Maioris, from where you follow the cliff path down and then turn left along the rocks. The path runs directly alongside the Sea Club.

Atmosphere and Character

The cove has a genuinely unspoilt, undeveloped feel: no kiosk, no hired sun loungers. The crowd is mostly made up of locals in the know, and it stays peaceful even at weekends. Do take care on the rocks, as some surfaces can be slippery.
