Josue Rarujo
Spainflamenco
Josue Rarujo is one of the leading voices in contemporary gitano flamenco in Spain. He came to music in an unexpected way: after being asked to write a dedicated song and sharing it on YouTube, requests kept pouring in and a career was born. His most fruitful partnership is with Obed Hernández (son of Moisés Hernández of Los Yakis), a collaboration that has lasted to this day. With a catalogue of over 200 tracks, he cites legends such as Parrita and Camarón as key inspirations. His breakthrough track "Miedo al Amor" (2023, 1965341 Records DK) has surpassed 7 million streams and became an anthem for fans across Spain – the moment that established him as a composer and performer in his own right. It launched an extensive national tour that kicked off on 11 April at the Teatro Magno in Madrid. Recent albums *Sentenciado a Amar* (2025) and *Amor Veinteañero* (2026), along with singles like "Su Baile No Se Detiene", underline his consistent presence in the scene. With around 295,000 monthly Spotify listeners, appearances at the Mallorca Live Festival and a show at Sala Es Gremi in Palma (27 June 2026), he brings the pureza del flamenco gitano to major stages.
