Lunes FITZ

London, United Kingdomelectronic · techno · house · acid
Jane Fitz is a London-born DJ and producer with over 25 years of experience in underground electronic music. Her musical identity was shaped in 1990s Hong Kong, where she was active in the club scene in the years leading up to the handover to China. Back in the UK, she embedded herself firmly in the free-party movement and built a reputation as a promoter: her party series Peg began in a Shoreditch juice bar and ran for a decade before ending in 2009. In 2012 she co-founded Night Moves with Jade Seatle, a series deliberately stripped of distractions – no announced guest DJs, shifting set times – to create a focused clubbing experience. Fitz holds a residency at London's Pickle Factory and performs regularly at prominent events including the Dekmantel Festival and Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). Her sets – exclusively on vinyl – traverse techno, acid, ambient, experimental electronics and psychedelia, often spanning several hours. Mixes such as the widely praised "We Fall Into The Sun" for A Strangely Isolated Place document her depth as a selector. Most recently she returned to Hong Kong for a residency at club 宀, the city that first shaped her as a DJ.
