Open residency presentation: On Display – Sala La Fornal

On Display Maria Mora and Katja Butković Open presentation of the residency: Wednesday, 16 September at 8 pm. “On Display” is a research and creative project that reflects on the complex role of being a dancer in a social, personal and cultural context. The project stems from a concern with the question: What does it mean to be a dancer? This interest led us to consider how society constantly perceives dancers as products or a form of entertainment. From this question, we propose critical research from a female perspective into stereotypes, sexualisation, the female body, gender roles and the expectations that run through dance practice.
