You stretch out on a Bali bed, the Mediterranean laid out unobstructed ahead of you. From somewhere behind the lounge, woodsmoke drifts from the Josper grill. On your table: a prawn aguachile — sharp, fresh, citrus-bright. A hundred metres away, the Playa de Palma is in full swing. In here, that barely seems to exist.

Concept
Opened in 2025, Xhaman is the first fully conceived beach-club concept on the Playa de Palma — a deliberate counterpoint to the strip’s standard offer. The name signals intent: ‘Xhaman’ means shaman, ‘someone who shows the way.’ The X marks a crossroads, and carries a personal meaning for CEO Pedro Marín — a tribute to his parents, whose first names both begin with X. Together with Creative Director Jesús, he built a dual concept: restaurant at the front, beach club behind — one kitchen, two distinct energies. The guiding idea: Tulum spirit with a Mediterranean soul.
The kitchen runs under the label ‘Mexiterranean’: classic Mexican recipes reinterpreted with local, Mediterranean produce and techniques. Over 45 dishes from both sides of the Atlantic. Adults only.

Atmosphere & Design
Four zones shape the space: CIELO (Sky), TIERRA (Earth), AGUA (Water), and the restaurant. Those who want to stand close to the DJ head for the LINE-UP area, right at the booth — loud, alive, designed for dancing. Those who prefer to simply lie back find natural materials, high-quality lounge furniture, and an open sea view. Pedro Marín puts it plainly: ‘Every detail counts: the music, the décor, the food, the drinks. We didn’t want to copy what’s already out there.’ The result is a space that feels like a parallel world despite its Ballermann coordinates. Guests put it consistently: ‘You barely notice the Ballermann at all.’
Mornings bring ambient sound and calm; from early afternoon, the DJ sets take over the mood. At sunset, the Bali beds by the pool fill up and dancers take the floor.
Food & Drinks
The kitchen centres on a Josper oven and sous-vide cooking. Creative Director Jesús recommends the tacos first: five variations, none of them generic. Alongside: prawn aguachile, green mole, prawn croquettes, guacamole, quesadillas, and a bluefin tuna poke bowl. All sauces made in-house. The pool area has its own lighter menu; the restaurant card runs deeper.
At the bar: signature cocktails, regional wines, longdrinks. Bottle service for groups.
Music & Programme
The resident roster is curated, not accidental: Alex Caro, Barbara Garcia, Bonetti, Eider, Frankie de Martino, Pauline Konrad, Radda, Sebas Ramis and Vik-T play regularly. In the height of summer, guest DJs and special formats join the programme — the collaboration ‘Suburban Jungle × Xhaman’ was announced on the website. Current line-ups are on the programme page.
Who it’s for & When
Couples looking for a quiet afternoon and a sundowner. Groups of friends who aren’t necessarily there to dance — but might end up doing so. Business teams for an incentive by the sea: private, bookable areas with catering are available. The crowd is adult, the expectation clear: comfort, design, food. Booking is online.
Insider Tip
For the best Bali beds in the front row, arrive early — the prime spots are gone long before sunset. Daybeds typically come with a minimum spend, which tends to work out very fairly. The private pool is exclusively for guests — no public access. If you arrive without a reservation, the LINE-UP area beside the DJ is the best fallback.
Pedro Marín is planning a 5-star boutique hotel on an already-secured plot directly behind the club. Xhaman is set to be proof that the Playa de Palma can be different.
