Banana Club

Port d'Alcúdia

Port d'Alcúdianightclub

Saturday evening, deep in summer, shortly after midnight. On the rooftop of Av. Tucà, a stilt walker dressed in glitter fringe greets everyone climbing the stairs — this is "Welcome to Fabulous Cabaret", the club's Saturday evening. The stage is set like a vaudeville world from another era, golden light throws reflections onto the dance floor at the very top, and at the terrace bar, bartenders in costume mix their cocktails. This blend of show, sound and rotating set design — reinvented seven times a week — is the foundation on which Port d'Alcúdia's best-known nightclub has stood since 2006.

Concept

No two evenings are the same. Seven in-house themed parties rotate weekly: the electronics-heavy Disco 51, the wild-west fire of Burning West, the circus-like Le Cirque de la Lune, the neon jungle of Glow Safari, the relaxed island atmosphere of Oasis, and the raw Duro on Sundays. With each theme, the stage design, staff costumes, playlist and live performer crew all change. More than 3,500 parties with over 100 different themes by the house's own count since 2006 — that sounds less like marketing and more like a genuine record.

A second location in Cala Rajada complements the programme: the seven themes run in complement across both venues, so if you miss something during the week you can catch it elsewhere — without seeing the same show twice.

Atmosphere

Second floor, effectively rooftop, above the lively streets of the harbour district: the dance floor sits at the very top — compact, which concentrates the energy rather than dispersing it. A level below, there are bars and standing areas for a breath of air between rounds. On the outdoor terrace with cocktail bar, you get fresh air and views across the neighbourhood.

The crowd is mixed in the best way — young holidaymakers, international friend groups, many from German-speaking countries, and people who've actually dressed up for the evening's theme. The latter are rewarded — matching the theme gives you good odds of a free drink and the giveaways the staff carry through the crowd.

What carries the nights: aerial acrobats swing from the ceiling, fire performers work on stage, stilt walkers welcome you at the entrance, podium dancers set the beat. On a Circus evening it really is a circus. On a Disco 51 Friday you feel transported into a glitterball era.

Programme & Music

Resident DJs Seth, Pedro Plaza, Kevin and Joao Plaza work through the calendar, joined by regular international guest DJs during high season. The spectrum covers Commercial Hits, House, Electronic and Urban, depending on the evening's theme. Foam parties, Neon Nights, Reggaeton nights and Foam-and-Paint events supplement the base calendar throughout the summer.

The club has established itself as an after-party destination for major beach events in the north: World Beach Volleyball, World Beach Rugby and the Ironman Mallorca have all wrapped up here.

For Whom & What Occasions

The right place for anyone wanting to properly celebrate as a group in the north of the island. Stag and hen dos find a grateful stage here, as do birthdays and friend group trips. VIP tables in three tiers — Terrace for up to six people, Club for smaller groups, Premium Club with a private area for up to eight people — are bookable online and come with bottle service.

Price level is moderate — tier two of four by Google's assessment, fair for a nightclub with this show density. Minimum age is 18, a physical ID at the door is mandatory.

Insider Tip

Come early in the night. On popular evenings there are still queues well past midnight. Those who arrive early catch the show from the start — and whoever knows the evening's theme and dresses accordingly increases their chances of a free drink and a club giveaway.
