About this yacht

Picture the first swim stop in a quiet bay: towels are already aboard, chilled drinks come from the refrigerator, and the cockpit cushions invite everyone to linger under the bimini after a dip. Your FP 44 charter in Mallorca starts from Hi iaka’s home port of Palma, so the transition from the city waterfront to life afloat feels immediate. With the sprayhood ready for more exposed moments on deck, the boat is prepared for a relaxed rhythm of sailing and stopping.

This catamaran works especially well for a family or a group of friends, with three cabins providing personal space and berths for up to eight guests. Air conditioning and heating add comfort below deck, while unlimited Wi-Fi and the radio-CD player keep entertainment and communication close at hand. The generator supports life aboard, and the cockpit becomes the natural gathering point whenever the crew comes together.

When it is time to sail, electric winches, a lazy jack and lazy bag assist with sail handling, while the autopilot and radar support navigation. Three WCs, an electric-toilet system and a holding tank make shared life more convenient. Hi iaka is offered without skipper, and a valid skipper’s license is required; the obligatory base pack covers end cleaning, bed linen, towels, a rinsing set, unlimited Wi-Fi and a dinghy. If this sounds like the right balance of sociable space and capable sailing for your Mallorca plans, send an inquiry and tell us who will be joining you.

The FP 44

The FP 44 first appeared in 2025 and was designed by Berret-Racoupeau. Its profile combines a discreet yet wider coachroof with a subtly inverted deck sheer, hull portholes emphasised by a stripe and a discreet chine extending above the waterline. A sleek rig completes the exterior character, while generous relaxation areas are distributed between the cockpit, flybridge and the space forward of the coachroof.

The model was conceived in both three- and four-cabin configurations, allowing the platform to serve different onboard layouts. Its rig carries 123 m² of sail, paired with a model displacement of 15,200 kg. Together, these elements frame the FP 44 as a contemporary sailing catamaran whose design gives equal attention to time under sail and the spaces used once the anchor is down.
