The Bali 4.8
Designed by Xavier Faÿ and first built in 2020, the Bali 4.8 is shaped around connected living areas. Its solid, integral foredeck creates a substantial forward cockpit and lounge, reached directly from the saloon through a heavy-duty pantograph door. This gives guests a second outdoor gathering point without requiring a route around the side deck from the interior.
At the stern, the model’s defining “Bali Door” is a large glazed rear bulkhead that rises on hydraulic struts. Open, it merges the saloon and aft cockpit into one expansive living space; lowered, it closes the interior behind a glazed wall. The sailing character remains an important part of the design: on a beam reach in 18 knots of true wind, the model has a typical cruising speed of 6.5 to 7.5 knots. Together, these features give the Bali 4.8 a clear identity as a catamaran made for sociable time aboard as well as purposeful sailing.
