Designed by Philippe Briand, the Sun Odyssey 519 was produced from 2015 through 2019 as an updated version of the SO509. Its development introduced a wider swim platform and a bowsprit, giving the model a distinct progression from its predecessor rather than an entirely separate design direction. The aft cockpit can be closed and incorporates an opening system, allowing the stern arrangement to change with the way the space is being used. A maximum speed of 9.06 knots completes a profile shaped around a substantial sailing-yacht format, purposeful exterior updates and Briand’s continuation of the established Sun Odyssey concept.
