Nino Gvetadze

Nino Gvetadze est une pianiste classique géorgienne, née et élevée à Tiflis. Elle a commencé sa formation musicale au Tbilisi State Conservatoire auprès de Veronika Tumanishvili, Nodar Gabunia et Nana Khubutia, avant de partir aux Pays-Bas pour son master, au Conservatorium Den Haag puis au Conservatorium van Amsterdam, où elle a étudié avec Paul Komen et Jan Wijn. Sa carrière internationale a pris son essor en 2008, lorsqu’elle a remporté le deuxième prix, le prix de la presse et le prix du public au International Franz Liszt Piano Competition ; le prestigieux Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award a suivi en 2010. En soliste, elle s’est produite sous la direction de chefs tels que Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Jaap van Zweden, Klaus Mäkelä et Jakub Hrůša, notamment avec le Rotterdam Philharmonic, le Netherlands Philharmonic et le Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. Parmi les salles où elle se produit régulièrement figurent le Concertgebouw Amsterdam, la Wigmore Hall London et la Tonhalle Zürich. Gvetadze a enregistré neuf CD en solo pour des labels tels que Challenge Records, Orchid Classics, Brilliant Classics et Etcetera Records, dont son très remarqué album Chopin « Ghosts ». Elle est professeure au Codarts Rotterdam et cofondatrice ainsi que directrice artistique du Naarden International Piano Festival et du Delft Chamber Music Festival.
