La Banda Municipal de Música de Santanyí è una delle istituzioni musicali più antiche di Mallorca: le prime testimonianze di una banda di fiati municipale a Santanyí risalgono al 1870, perciò la formazione vanta oltre 170 anni di storia. È considerata un simbolo culturale e un importante strumento educativo del comune: la maggior parte dei circa 65 musicisti e musiciste attivi sono studenti, studentesse e docenti della Escola Municipal de Música de Santanyí (EMMS). Nel corso dei decenni numerosi direttori hanno segnato l'identità dell'ensemble, tra cui Jaume Adrover, Miquel Morell, Andreu Bennàssar, Jordi Rosselló e Miquel Bonet. Attualmente la banda è diretta da Pedro Vallbona, mentre Mateu Nadal ne è il coordinatore. La Banda si esibisce regolarmente in eventi locali e sovralocali, come il Gran Concert de Sant Jaume e il VI Festival Música de Santanyí. Nel 2024 ha inaugurato la rassegna concertistica „Nits d'estiu a Raixa" del Consell de Mallorca nella storica tenuta Raixa, con opere di Ennio Morricone, Klaus Badelt e John Higgins in programma. La banda ha tenuto concerti anche all'estero e rappresenta il patrimonio musicale di Santanyí ben oltre i confini del comune.
